Who we are

21 Lockout is published by Stella Lane Associates LLC ("we", "us"). You can reach us at admin@stella-lane-associates.com.

License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use 21 Lockout on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or sell the app or any part of it.

21 Lockout Plus subscription

21 Lockout Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Pricing is shown in the app before purchase and varies by region.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial period.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price for your plan.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings › your Apple ID › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's refund policy, not by us. Promotional or discounted offers are limited-time, may be presented to some users and not others, and do not apply retroactively to purchases already made.

Screen Time and app blocking

21 Lockout uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls framework to shield the apps you choose. The app is a self-restriction tool intended for use on your own device. It is not a parental-control product and is not designed to monitor or restrict another person's device.

Blocking depends on Apple's frameworks and on iOS behaviour outside our control. We do not guarantee that a restriction will always apply, persist, or be impossible to circumvent — for instance, restrictions can be removed by revoking Screen Time permission, changing device settings, or deleting the app. Do not rely on 21 Lockout in any situation where failure to block an app could affect your safety, health, finances, or legal obligations.

The blackjack game

21 Lockout includes a simulated blackjack game used solely as a friction mechanism to regain access to your own apps. There is no wagering of money or of any virtual currency that can be bought, sold, or exchanged for anything of value, no payout of any kind, and no opportunity to win money or prizes. Outcomes are generated on your device for the sole purpose of deciding how long your own apps stay unlocked.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app unlawfully, not to interfere with its operation or security, and not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it or to any related systems.

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that it will produce any particular change in your habits or screen-time usage.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunity, or profit, arising out of your use of or inability to use the app — including any consequence of an app being blocked, or of an app failing to be blocked. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate the licence granted here if you materially breach these terms.

Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
