Who we are

21 Lockout is an iOS app published by Stella Lane Associates LLC. Questions about this policy can be sent to admin@stella-lane-associates.com.

Data stored on your device

21 Lockout stores the following locally, using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults and a shared app group). This data is not transmitted to us and is not accessible to us.

• Lock state — whether apps are currently unlocked, when the current unlock window expires, and when a cooldown ends.
• Stakes settings — how many minutes a win is worth and how long a loss locks you out.
• Emergency unlock allowance — how many emergency unlocks you have used today.
• App preferences — such as whether setup has been completed.

Deleting the app removes all of this from your device.

Screen Time and app blocking

21 Lockout uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls framework to shield the apps you select. The app presents Apple's standard system picker for you to choose them. The names of the apps you pick are never received, stored, or transmitted by us — your selection is represented by opaque tokens that remain inside Apple's secure on-device framework and cannot be read back as app names.

You can revoke Screen Time permission for 21 Lockout at any time in iOS Settings.

Analytics

21 Lockout uses PostHog to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, how many people finish setup, how often a round is played, and where people get stuck. This is product analytics, not advertising.

What is sent:

• Event names describing in-app actions (for example: setup viewed, round started, round settled, lockout applied).
• App version and build number, iOS version, and device type (iPhone or iPad).
• A randomly generated identifier that distinguishes one installation from another.

What is never sent:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or Apple ID.
• The names of the apps you have chosen to lock.
• Your precise location, contacts, photos, or any device advertising identifier.

The random identifier is not linked to your identity and is not shared with advertising networks or data brokers. 21 Lockout does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework because it performs no cross-app or cross-site tracking. Deleting and reinstalling the app generates a new identifier. You can review PostHog's privacy practices at posthog.com/privacy.

Subscriptions (21 Lockout Plus)

21 Lockout Plus is an auto-renewing subscription managed by Apple through the App Store. We do not process, receive, or store payment information.

The app uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to verify and manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat may collect an anonymous identifier and purchase receipt data solely to confirm whether an active subscription exists. No name, email address, or other personal information is associated with it. You can review RevenueCat's privacy practices at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at any time in iOS Settings › your Apple ID › Subscriptions.

No accounts

21 Lockout does not require or offer user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to lose.

Apple's data collection

As with all apps distributed through the App Store, Apple may collect diagnostic and usage information according to your device settings and Apple's own policies. That data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

21 Lockout is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will address it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
