Who we are

Ice Block is an iOS focus timer developed and published by Stella Lane Associates, an independent developer. Questions about these terms can be sent to admin@stella-lane-associates.com.

License to use the app

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Ice Block on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store terms.

All rights not expressly granted here are reserved. Ice Block, including its code, design, mascot, and content, is owned by the developer. You do not acquire any ownership rights by downloading or using the app.

Ice Block Plus subscription

Ice Block Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription available through Apple's in-app purchase system. By subscribing you agree to the following:

• Free trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
• Auto-renewal: After the trial, the subscription automatically renews at the then-current price for the selected period (monthly or annual) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. All billing is handled by Apple — the developer does not process or store payment information.
• Cancellation: You can cancel at any time from iOS Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions, or from within the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: All refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies. The developer has no ability to issue refunds directly.
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices at any time. Apple will notify you before any price increase takes effect, and your continued subscription constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Screen Time and app blocking

Ice Block uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls framework to block apps and websites during focus sessions. You grant permission for this feature when prompted by iOS. You may revoke this permission at any time from iOS Settings.

You agree to use the app blocking feature only for lawful purposes and only on devices you own or have authorisation to manage. You must not attempt to use Ice Block to interfere with another person's device without their knowledge and consent.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app or its content
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to circumvent or disable any security or access-control features
• Use the app to harm, harass, or surveil others

Disclaimer of warranties

Ice Block is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that focus sessions or app-blocking features will function in every environment or on every device configuration. You use the app at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Ice Block — including but not limited to lost productivity, lost data, or device damage — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for Ice Block Plus in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted in the app or via an App Store update notice. Your continued use of Ice Block after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
